A lot has been said about magic weight loss foods and how just by eating certain items you will lose weight this so called truth has resulted in a number of diets which in my opinion are extremely bad for you.

We all know about eating our fruit and veg and we all know that these foods are better for us than say fast food burgers or pizzas etc. However eating these foods alone or just adding them to your daily intake will not make you lose weight.

Whilst there are foods which will help us lose weight and these are often called negative foods because they will burn off more calories than they provide thus reducing calories they alone will not make us lose weight.

These foods will not in themselves make you lose weight and just in case you don’t fully understand this adding them to your current intake will probably result in putting weight on.

This may seem like the perfect diet but in fact they will only become a help in some fastest weight loss diets if they are properly planned and controlled.

What are these foods, well there are a few such as carrots, but only if you eat them with nothing added, no dips or creams just carrot.

We are all interested in the diets for fastest weight loss those which seem to promise to meet our target weight with ease.

We really need to consider what and how we eat and not just a diet for a week or two if we are to have success.

These eating habits are of course the ones which have ensured that we put the weight on in the first place and will certainly do so again if we do not change them.

Identification of those bad habits we need to lose or at least make some changes too are a must.

Many of us eat sweets between meals without thinking and we must understand that chocolate is fattening.

Potato chips and even some so called health bars are just as big a problem.

The one bad habit most never seem to identify is of course drinking coffee and tea all day, perhaps in itself not so bad, but if we put two or three spoons of sugar into each cup then it is no good and believe me this does built up to a lot of sugar intake.

These are all bad eating habits and whilst they may seem small they all add up to a huge intake of calories between meals.

Returning to this type of eating after a diet will soon remove all the benefits we gained and could be worse in the long term due to our changes in metabolism.

Just by substituting the fatty sugary snacks with fruit or fresh popcorn will see an improvement.

Cut down the portions as this will be a massive help, do as I did and buy some smaller plates this is a great way to get used to eating smaller portions.

When we go to bed our stomach needs to rest as well so eating just before is not good as your stomach gets no rest, if you must eat have some milk and an oatcake which should do the trick.

Not a religious requirement or act of faith just a statement of the obvious.

It is regrettable that most of us start a diet with the belief that we will fail we are full of fear and doubts and nothing but negative thoughts.

With fear and doubt in our minds failure is just a short step away and the self fulfilling disaster of the diet will strike once again and once again we will comfort eat, putting weight on instead of taking it off.

If you recognise this it is because it is how many people start a diet with only the feeling of impending disaster.

The inspiration to succeed must come from us not from some saying and certainly not from the label on a packet.

We all want the diets for quick weight loss as we feel the quicker we get them over the better it will be and we might manage to stick with them.
